When it comes to pink eye shadow, I instantly get not-so-cute flashbacks of me covering my eyelids in Barry M Dazzle Dust. Needless to say, it’s not a color that I reach for these days. But after seeing Ella Balinska’s makeup look for the BAFTAs, I’m definitely rethinking my stance on bold pink eye shadow.

The Charlie’s Angels actor stepped out on the red carpet to attend the 2020 BAFTA Awards at the Royal Albert Hall wearing a beautiful floral Giambattista Valli gown. Inspired by the dress, Balinska’s makeup artist decided to apply a vibrant pink shadow all over her lids, buffing it up toward her brow bones so the edges were soft and diffused. To define Balinska’s eyes and really enhance their feline-esque shape, Vincent Oquendo drew sharp black wings along the top lashes, adding lots of mascara and a rosy gloss.

If you look closely, you’ll see that Balinska’s nails were also pink. She wore the “paint chip” nail art trend, where each nail is a slightly different shade of pink, blending together to make a beautiful ombré effect.

To complement the beautiful flowing train of her gown and not get in the way of the high, ruffled neckline, stylist Rio Sreedharan pulled her hair back into a superslick high ponytail.

Read on to see all angles of Balinska’s pretty pink beauty look from the 2020 BAFTA Awards.
