These days we’d be hard-pressed to come across a photo of Marsai Martin in which she’s not looking like a vision on the red carpet. Case in point, the Black-ish star – and beauty and style icon in the making – showed up to the premiere of Disney’s live-action Mulan reboot on March 9 sporting a chic blunt bob haircut that was in perfect theme with the upcoming film.

At first glance, you’d think that this is just another take on your average chin-length bob, but one look at Martin’s side profile is all it takes to see the drama that’s been added to the look. Martin’s hairstylist, Ashley Noel, took the textured cut to the next level by placing a french braid down the centre of the actress’s hair that hung down her back the entire night.
