Taylor Swift’s Gold Chrome Nails Shine Like Her American Music Award Trophies

What’s shinier: Taylor Swift‘s American Music Awards trophy, or her gold chrome nails for the night? The singer-songwriter tried out the nail trend while attending the Los Angeles award show on Nov. 20, where she accepted the award for artist of the year, favorite pop album, and more.

As she clutched the diamond-shaped statue, we were able to spot Swift’s gold manicure featuring a shiny chrome finishing like what’s used in glazed-doughnut manicures, popularized by Hailey Bieber. It also seems the “Midnights” artist coordinated her manicure with her entire outfit, a rhinestone-encrusted halter jumpsuit by The Blonds.

Swift has previously spoken about doing her nails herself. In fact, we might venture to say she didn’t recruit help for these embellished gold chrome nails. Fortunately, it turns out you don’t have to be Swift to re-create chrome nails at home. Chrome appeared to be a big beauty hit at the AMAs, but many attendees put a twist on the trend by opting for chrome french manicures.

We’ve seen other stars like Kate Hudson, Khloé Kardashian, and Zendaya hop on this nail trend, but Swift might be the first to rock a DIY iteration at an award show.
