I've Abandoned My Usual Beauty Routine For These Five Products
Pre-WFH, my main goal in the mornings — aside from getting out the door on time — was to leave my apartment with dewy skin and brushed-up brows. And tbh, that really hasn't changed (well, the leaving my apartment bit has), but I have managed to minimise the amount of products I use to get there. Work smarter not harder etc.
My usual morning routine consists of washing my face with water and a muslin cloth, applying moisturiser, eye cream, SPF, primer, skin tint, cream bronzer and blush, brow gel, mascara, brushing my teeth and finally, swiping on a lip balm. I had this baby down to a fine art, 10 minutes max, seven if I was in a real rush.
Now that most of my human interaction is over the internet or sending strange self-iso selfies to people (boredom makes you do weird things), I've started to skip a few steps. Mainly dropping primer, skin tint, bronzer and blush from my routine, sometimes I'll even ditch my mascara if I only have one meeting that day or need to do an essentials run. And let me tell you, both me and my skin are loving my new two minute max routine. So much so that I'm considering keeping it like this once we're back in the office.
