Zoe Saldaña’s New “Summertime Frenchie” Bob Is Ultra Sleek
Zoe Saldaña‘s new haircut matches her cool-girl energy. On July 11, the actor said goodbye to her long hair and debuted a sleek French bob with ties to her own European travels. “Someone got a MAJOR summertime Frenchie Bob chop,” hairstylist Mara Roszak wrote on Instagram while sharing the exact moment she snipped off Saldaña’s brunette ponytail. “Yep! I did it,” Saldaña happily confirmed in the comments section.
Inspired by her time spent living in France this year, Saldaña’s take on the classic bob sits about 10 inches shorter, hitting right above her shoulders with a clean, blunt finish. To style the fresh cut, Roszak ran the RŌZ Milk Hair Serum and Santa Lucia Styling Oil through Saldaña’s damp hair and blow-dried with a round brush for additional fullness. “I’ve wanted to do this haircut on Zoe for such a long time,” Roszak tells POPSUGAR. “She recently wrapped a film after working in France for four months and was ready so we went for it. We’re so happy with how it turned out! The perfect, fresh look for summer.”
In true Parisian fashion, Saldaña unveiled her new hair with a red lip and sheer black outfit, later changing into a purple dress for a “Special Ops: Lioness” photocall in London. Her bob marks a dramatic departure from her formerly waist-length hair, which she typically styled into an impressive braid, and is definitely the biggest beauty change we’ve seen from Saldaña in recent memory.
