2010 Oscar Prediction: Mo'Nique to Win Best Supporting Actress

2010 Oscar Predictions: Best Supporting Actress

10 days and counting; that's how long is left until the 2010 Oscars (yep, I can feel your excitement from here), which means it's time for us to try our hand at predicting the winners. Of course nothing is predicatable with the sometimes prickly Academy, but with most of awards season under our belts, it is possible to make an educated guess or two. So, without further ado, let's take a look at Best Supporting Actress.

Our Favourite: Mo'Nique, Precious
So far Mo'Nique has swept the SAG Awards, Critics' Choice Awards, Golden Globes and BAFTAs making it hard to believe that she won't win. Her harrowing role in Precious definitely had our jaws on the floor, so we're declaring her a shoo-in. That is, unless those circulating rumours about the actress' lack of cooperation to promote the film hurt her chances and a dark horse like Kendrick is rewarded instead. But our money is still on Mo'Nique.
