When Alyson Stoner appeared on stage at the 2019 MTV VMAs during Missy Elliott's performance, the crowd went absolutely wild as nostalgia swept through the room. The 26-year-old dancer became a viral sensation when she starred in Elliott's "Work It" music video in 2002, and she reminded everyone during the recent award show that even without those adorable pigtails, she can still put her thing down, flip it, and reverse it. Since there are only so many times we can watch the music videos she starred in as a youth, Ellen DeGeneres shared a video from when Stoner appeared on her talk show in 2003.
Stoner taught DeGeneres her viral moves from the "Work It" music video, and even brought her a matching bandana to practice in. "Teach me whatever you can because I'm always trying to get hip," DeGeneres told Stoner. Between the Harlem Shake, the six-step, and all the footwork, DeGeneres was taking notes.
