Angus and Julia Stone's Big Jet Plane Tops Triple J Hottest 100 Countdown

Angus & Julia Stone's "Big Jet Plane" Tops Triple J Hottest 100

In what has become an Australia Day tradition, Triple J yesterday announced and played the Hottest 100 hits as voted by listeners of the radio station. The countdown began at midday and the results came from more than 1.26 million votes. Topping the list were brother-sister duo Angus & Julia Stone with their hit “Big Jet Plane”, which also took home the ARIA Award for Single of the Year in November. Other hits in the top 10 include Cee-Lo Green’s “F*** You” (no. 7), Birds of Tokyo’s “Plans” (no. 4) and “Rock It” by Little Red (no. 2). You can check out the whole Hottest 100 list here, but tell me — do you think “Big Jet Plane” deserved the top spot?
