Australians including Toni Collette, Rose Byrne and Kim Kilbey go home empty-handed at the 2010 Primetime Emmy Awards

Emmy Awards 2010: Australians Go Home Empty-Handed

The Aussie posse was MIA when it came to the 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards tonight at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. Toni Collette won the trophy for lead actress in a comedy category last year, but the award went to Edie Falco for her role in Nurse Jackie this time around. Rose Byrne attended the ceremony with her brother George and received her second nomination in the supporting actress drama category for her role in Damages but the prize went to The Good Wife’s Archie Panjabi. Former Australia’s Funniest Home Videos host Kim Kilbey is now a producer on the US version of Dancing With the Stars and missed out with the award going to Top Chef. The only other member of the Gum Leaf Mafia we managed to spot was sexy True Blood star Ryan Kwanten. Aussie, Aussie Aussie oy vey.
