The Bachelor Episode 8 Just Finished and We've Got All the Juice
You know what they say: a Bachelor experience shared is a Bachelor experience doubled! Right? Let's jump right into this thing and have a good time. Quick recap from last night's ep ('sif you need it): Emily finally got her one-on-one with 2015 Bachelor Sam Wood — it looked pretty tame but apparently that wasn't the case — the girls went on a group date to a farm, Jasmin hated every minute, Sam pashed on with Snezana (naughty! Naughty?) and then Jasmin was eliminated, just in time for us to ask her some nosy questions about the experience. Here's an extended version of that recap, but for now, let's get stuck into episode eight!
Like, even the preview has us excited. Nina's a naughty girl, letting Snez's secret pash slip.
Sam's telling us he's looking for a woman he can spend the rest of his life with, which is a relief considering he's on a show about finding a woman he can spend the rest of his life with.
Date time! It's a group date and Rachel, Heather, Bec, Emily and Nina. Ebru, Snez and Sarah are not on the list and their smiles be rock-solid locked into place.
Emily says Nina is very fake . . . Which is not what we'd have picked as one of Nina's personality traits. Still, gotta remember we only see, like, 1 percent of what it filmed on this show.
They're going on some version of extreme bumper cars and Nina is EXCITED. Maybe even completely hyperactive.
Sam tells us this date is about the crazy, competitive stuff he likes to do in relationships. Nothing like five women at the wheels of high-speed bumper cars . . . This is gonna be good!
This is the closest the girls can get to beating each other up without getting in trouble, so they're really going for it. Emily is a secret racecar driver (not really) and she cruises smooothly into first spot — copping a few bumps from Nina on the way.
The first 10 minutes of tonight's episode has given Rachel more airtime than she's had all season. Rather like her, she's funny.
Emily wins with a seven second lead but somehow Nina thinks she's won. She starts celebrating and everyone watching at home dies a little bit inside. Emily's win means she gets some one-on-one time with Sam . . . Again! Lucky little lady. They don't seem to have as much of a spark as he does with the others. They're chatting and Sam's giving her the third degree on exactly how she explained their big beach date to the girls. Not at all sure why he's so concerned and why he's backing her into a corner like this. He seems kind of angry at her.
Back at the house, a single date card arrives and WHAT, it's Snez! Again! OMG he's obsessed.
Something else he's obsessed with: dates that involve water. He spends more time on water than dry land? He approaches Snez (waiting patiently on the jetty in front of the Bachelor mansion) on a boat and they both look very beautiful. They would make pretty Bachelor babies.
The producers Sam has set up a beautiful Italian spread in a lovely garden. There are roses, and all the ingredients to make delicious pizzas. BEST DATE EVER.
Sooo, Nina just dropped the bombshell about Snez pashing Sam at the episode seven group date. She pretends letting slip was an accident but it most definitely was not. Heather reacts with shock but she very quickly recovers, and in her piece-to-camera, says, "Good on her!" Hmm.
Back on the date, Sam and Snez are chatting about her being a mother. He is being very open-minded about it, and admits he never thought the woman he'd fall for would be a mum. It's a reality, and it's good that they're talking it out now.
Sam talks about "looks" a lot. As in, the looks Snez gives him. He reads a lot into them.
Cuuuute. He got her dessert made to resemble a death star from Star Wars, because he knows she's a big fan. She gets a rose AND a kiss!
Cocktail party time! Digging Heather's earrings. Nina is still pretending she didn't mean to reveal Snez's secret pash. Sigh.
Snez walks in, looking amazing, with the rose . . . The girls all swarm around her and put on their happy faces as they take in details of her perfect date. Then he pulls Heather aside for a chat — he definitely looks out for her, but is it in a "brotherly" way? Not sure.
Nina pulls Snez aside to tell her she spilled her secret. Snez is cool about it because Snez is the coolest person in Australia. FACT.
Rose ceremony time! Who's it gonna be? Gotta say, we'd be surprised if Rachel survived this one. She's so not a key player in Sam's world (for shame, 'cause she seems cool).
Rose receivers, in order:
Annnd poor Rach is left without a rose. Not overly surprised, but a little bit disappointed we didn't get to see much of her.
SPECIAL NOTE: NEXT WEEK LOOKS INCREDIBLEEEEE THE INTRUDERS ARE COMING!!!!
