Baz Luhrmann is Considering to Shoot The Great Gatsby Remake in 3D
Pop Poll: The Great Gatsby May Be Shot in 3D . . . Discuss
When I think of films shot in 3D, I think of action blockbusters, animation and the occasional dance flick. You too? Well Baz Luhrmann may be out to prove that the technology works just as well for movies without Na’vi, fight sequences, explosions or toys coming to life. In fact the director told The Hollywood Reporter that he had even workshopped his upcoming remake of The Great Gatsby in the format but that he hadn’t decided whether he was going to go ahead with it. I’m pretty sceptical about the idea, and when a movie is shown in 3D I sometimes even stick to the 2D option (some of the glasses are heavy!). Not to mention that watching it in 3D means a higher ticket price. But money and glasses issues aside, what are your thoughts on The Great Gatsby in 3D? An innovative idea from a visual master, or going too far?
