Casting News: Baz Picks Carey to Play Daisy Buchanan!
The Great Gatsby has locked in a leading lady! Baz Luhrmann tells Deadline Hollywood:

Carey received the call while she was at the Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards and immediately burst into tears. Bless. The competition for the role was intense and she reportedly beat out Blake Lively and Amanda Seyfried for the part.
