Cara Talks Margot Robbie and Taylor Swift, and Gives Us Her Best "Cara" Face
It's a funny thing, waiting for a supermodel to arrive at a premiere. Usually you're interviewing movie stars at these things, actors who have a long history of work for you to ask them about. With Cara, we know she's the best in her business — a born model with long legs, a killer stare and eyebrows that can't be beat. Karl Lagerfeld has walked her down the Chanel runway, for goodness' sake. You can't top that! What we didn't know for sure about Cara, though, is if she's got the chops to carve out an acting career as astronomical as her catwalking one.
Once she set foot on the red carpet at the Sydney premiere of Paper Towns (Cara's first-ever movie role, and a main one at that), it instantly became clear: this woman is an actress through and through. Expressive beyond belief, funny, charismatic, happy to play the fool and pull a face, she's happiest in a big crowd of people (which she can command in an instant) and she's charming to chat with one-on-one. Asked about the rumours that she's backing out on modelling, Cara's quick to deny them. Mention love and all that comes with it and Cara won't mention her girlfriend St. Vincent, but she will smile and say it's something everyone can relate to.
She's an open book and the absolute life of the party: full of energy, loud with a slightly well-to-do English accent, cracking jokes every other sentence . . . You quickly get the impression that nothing can and nothing will hold this girl down. Keep reading for our red carpet convo with Cara!
