Watch: The Bachelor's Matt and Chelsie's First Date Was Chock-Full of Chemistry
From the moment Matt Agnew and Chelsie McLeod met on The Bachelor, it was clear they shared a whole lot of chemistry. The astrophysicist and chemical engineer respectively have bonded over their love of science and "talking nerdy" to each other from day dot. As much as Matt valued the "intellectual stimulation" Chelsie provided him, the jury was still out as to whether they also shared a physical connection. That was, until tonight's episode.
On their first single date, Matt invited Chelsie to the Bach pad to make banana bread, because as he put it, "baking is basically chemistry in the kitchen." After a playful food fight, it was time for a frolic in the pool, and it was there that sparks really started to fly. Upon seeing Chelsie in a bikini, Matt declared that he had "never met a scientist as hot as her." Well, if that isn't proof of a physical connection, we don't know what is.
Clearly the feeling was mutual, and by the end of the date, the pair had shared more than a few kisses. Not only did Matt say that he was "blown away by how amazing Chelsie is," but he also concluded that he could "100 per cent" see himself being with her. And just like that, Chelsie went from potentially friend-zoned, to frontrunner.
