Daniel Craig Dresses in Drag in Short Film We Are Equals For 2011 International Women's Day

Daniel Craig Dresses as a Lady For International Women's Day

It’s International Women’s Day today, and to mark the 100th anniversary Daniel Craig has dressed up in drag in a short film that aims to bring awareness to issues faced by women every day. In the 2:03 minute clip titled We Are Equals, Daniel starts off in a suit as his James Bond co-star Dame Judi Dench (in character as M) narrates the inequality that is still experienced by women, including unequal pay and that women are more likely to be victims of sexual assault. Daniel then changes into a dress and wig after Dame Judi asks, “For someone with such a fondness for women, I wonder if you’ve ever considered what it means to be one?” The short was directed by Sam Taylor-Wood (Nowhere Boy) and scripted by Jane Goldman (Kick-Ass). Do you think it sends a powerful message?
