Dannii Minogue Quits The X Factor UK After Scheduling Conflicts With Australia's Got Talent

Dannii Minogue Not Returning to The X Factor UK

Dannii Minogue wears multiple hats in her career, but one that she seems to love is her judging hat, which she’s proven in previous years by taking places at the panels for both Australia’s Got Talent and The X Factor UK. But it seems that an overlap in filming schedules for both talent-finding competition shows means she’s had to pull out of the latter. She told mydaily.co.uk, where she’s a contributing editor, “I am so disappointed that I can’t be a part of The X Factor this year. I’m going to miss the show and the amazing team who work so incredibly hard on it. During discussions for me to return [to The X Factor] it became clear that unfortunately, this year, the X Factor audition dates in the UK clash with the live shows of Australia’s Got Talent during June and July. For this reason I am unable to return.”

There’s speculation that the filming dates of The X Factor UK were timed to push Dannii out to make way for a new judge, which means the show’s judging panel will almost be completely revamped following Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole’s departure (they’ve headed to the new US version). As for this season of ATG, Dannii has been witness to some of the most talented auditions yet, including 14-year-old Jack Vidgen, who wowed the public with his rendition of Whitney Houston’s “I Have Nothing.”
