Two of my favourite stars were in the same room yesterday: Darren Criss and Ellen DeGeneres. The Glee star stopped by Ellen’s show to talk about his role on the show, and the talk show host praised his — and the show’s — positive portrayal of gay teens (the issue recently landed Darren and co-star Chris Colfer the cover of Entertainment Weekly). He said his character Blaine is “someone that I’m very personal about, something that I believe in and just so happens to be attached to a sort of social-political package that I’m very invested in.” He also confirmed that he’s straight in real life even though he doesn’t like to make a big deal about it. And, of course, he finished off the interview with a song! We know Darren loves a good Disney tune so his impromptu performance was inspired by Ellen’s own connection to Disney — a plea for a sequel to Finding Nemo. Watch it in the video!
