Exclusive Images: On the Set of "Wings" With Delta Goodrem!
Taken at face value, there's a lot to admire about Delta Goodrem. She's naturally beautiful and is the owner of model-like limbs. She's got a beautiful smile and carefree, sunny disposition. She's charming, she has a gigantic fan base and — best of all — she's one of those rare musicians who can hit the hardest notes with minimal effort. (Seriously, watch closely. She sings effortlessly.) Delta also happens to have a secure seat on The Voice Australia's coaching panel and the number one single in the country right now. Her upbeat new song "Wings" went storming up the charts this week and has settled into first place on iTunes' coveted list.
But all of that just becomes a bit of icing on the cake once you get the chance to spend time with Delta. Considering she's faced a lot of flak from the Australian public in her 15 years in the spotlight, you'd be forgiven for thinking she might be jaded, cagey, a little closed off — but that assumption couldn't be further from the truth. She's a laugh-a-minute girl's girl and she comes with a star presence that she doesn't even realise she's carrying. She's tactile, warm and sharp-witted and she won't take anyone's BS, which is maybe our favourite thing about her. She's a humble Aussie through and through, and one of our most talented at that.
Spending time on the set of "Wings" recently, we watched as she filmed an interview with Richard Wilkins (laughing her way through tiny bloopers), drank tea, joked around with the crew and ran towards the well-lit areas for selfies with anyone who asked. Then we settled in for a good long chat about her new music, picking her battles and what her girlfriends — namely, close friend Renee Bargh — mean to her.
