Demi Lovato hasn't been shy about her struggles with addiction and mental health, which is part of why she's become such an inspiring figure in the music world. The "Tell Me You Love Me" singer opens up about just that in an upcoming appearance on The Dr. Phil Show, which you can see in our exclusive look at the episode, airing March 20 in the US. Demi discusses how being bullied at age 12 made her turn to drugs and alcohol, which ended up having devastating consequences.
"At the rate that I was using and drinking, I wasn't going to live a long life," she said. "I turned to cutting. Every time I cut, it got deeper and deeper." Now, six years sober, the 25-year-old singer just wants to share what she's learned. Along with the help of Dr. Phil and CAST Centres, Demi sat down with fans for a therapy session ahead of her LA concert and hopefully changed some lives.
