Steve, Kristen and More Bring the Funny to Despicable Me 2's LA Premiere
The stars of Despicable Me 2 came together for the animation’s LA premiere in Universal City on Saturday. Steve Carell, who reprises his role voicing reformed villain Gru in the sequel, took a casual approach to the event but was still in theme as his T-shirt featured an image of one of the movie’s lovable Minions. He linked up with Kristen Wiig, who showed off her legs in a polished shorts ensemble — like Steve, Kristen worked on the first movie, Despicable Me, but returns to the sequel in a different role. The yellow carpet was filled with lots of celebrities and their young families, including voice star Ken Jeong, who brought his wife and young daughters to the premiere. Pharrell Williams contributed original music for the movie, as he did with the first, and was also there for the fun. Despicable Me 2 is in cinemas now.
