Down Under Day 1: Oprah Cuddles Koala and Curtis Stone!

Oprah Winfrey touched down yesterday on Hamilton Island and her first stop was a wildlife park where she cuddled a koala. Oprah apparently interrupted an intimate moment saying, “I have been here one hour and seen two koalas mating already!” Oprah and BFF Gayle King drove around in a golf buggy and when they spotted a dingo, Oprah did an impression of Meryl Streep doing Lindy Chamberlain crying out, “A dingo’s got my baby!” After the wildlife park, they had a gourmet barbecue on Whitehaven Beach prepared by celebrity chef Curtis Stone. Today’s schedule includes lunch, surfing lessons and dolphin-watching at Byron Bay before dinner in Uluru. The Northern Territory stop was not on the schedule but added at the last minute after singer Paul Simon told her it was not to be missed.
