Elle Macpherson Apologises for Rhino Remarks

Elle Macpherson is backtracking after telling a UK newspaper that she consumed powdered rhino horn for medicinal purposes. She was immediately slammed by animal rights groups and has issued an apology. During an interview with Britain's Sunday Times she was asked about her use of Chinese medicine and talked about the rhino remedy saying it tasted "a little bit like crushed bone and fungus in a capsule" and said it "works for me." Elle is a huge fan of holistic medicine, including acupuncture and herbs. After being publicly criticised, she apologised saying she had “never knowingly consumed or encouraged the use or consumption of any products which contain material derived from endangered species.”
