We've only seen two nights of Blind Auditions on The Voice Australia, and Monday night's episode delivered a cracker audition that has everyone talking about Elly Oh. The South Korean opera singing teacher turned the chairs of all four coaches with her powerful performance of Jessie J's "Mamma Knows Best," and incited one of the most competitive pitch sessions from Ricky Martin, Joel Madden, Kylie Minogue and will.i.am to get her on their teams. In fact will.i.am wanted her so badly he pulled out a megaphone from his bag (purchased in South Korea) to convince her, and tried to sway her by name-dropping his connection to popular South Korean girl group 2NE1. Joel dropped to his knees, begging Elly to join his team.
In the end, it was the smooth and sexy Ricky who won Elly over, and she told the Daily Telegraph, "I was a huge fan of Ricky since I was little. I watched all his performances and he's also incredibly good-looking." Elly has also revealed she's been inspired by Dami Im, who won The X Factor last year.
