The Franklin Mint Creates a Kate Middleton Doll to Coincide With Royal Wedding to Prince William

For Huge Royal Wedding Fans: The Kate Middleton Doll!

Wanna “take home a piece of the fairytale” that is Kate Middleton and Prince William’s royal wedding? You may be aware that to coincide with the April 29 nuptials a whole bunch of memorabilia has been released (it includes mugs, pies, garden gnomes and even, um, condoms), but the one that’s really caught our attention is the new Kate Middleton Royal Engagement Vinyl Portrait Doll. Seriously — the shiny blow-dry, the blue dress, the jewels, the sunny smile — the doll from The Franklin Mint matches Kate to a tee! They’re also planning to release a version with Kate in the wedding dress once we see it. There are only 5,000 worldwide and if you want a piece of royal wedding history it can be yours for US$195, but sadly it doesn’t come with an accompanying Prince William (yet). What do you think of the Kate Middleton doll? Do you agree that it looks super-similar to the real thing?
