Glee Cast Update: Chord Overstreet Out for Season Three, Darren Criss and Harry Shum Jr to Be Series Regulars

Glee Cast Shake-Up: Chord Out, Darren and Harry In

There’s some good and bad news for Glee fans, depending on who your favourite male characters are. It was confirmed on the weekend that Chord Overstreet, who plays Sam, will not be continuing on the show in the third season. He hinted at the news on Twitter, writing on Saturday, “well its been a good yr too bad its over, time for summer and starting fresh.” That’s the bad news. Now for the good: Darren Criss (Blaine) and Harry Shum Jr. (Mike) have been promoted to series regulars for season three! But even though we’ll be getting to see lots of more of Darren and Harry, it’s probably best not to get too attached, since Glee co-creator Ryan Murphy has mentioned that many original characters will be graduating from the show in May next year.

If you’re a massive Glee fan don’t forget to enter our competition for your chance to win a double pass to Gleek-On in Sydney or Melbourne!
