Gold Coast Meter Maid Kimberly finally sent packing on Australia's Next Top Model

Australia’s Next Top Model Recap: An Education

The girls hit the road in this episode, but not before their personal style was tested by model guru Priscilla Leighton Meester Clark. Most of the show was a snoozefest, but the last five minutes made it allll worthwhile. Here are some of the highlights:

Style File: Josh crashed the Top Model house and told the girls they had to put together a look asap because they were expecting a special guest. Model agent Priscilla showed up to critique the girls. She said Avon Lady Sophie wore too much makeup and looked like a call girl, while Kathryn was channelling a bank teller.

Melbourne Musings: The girls had go sees with three designers – LIFEwithBIRD, J’Aton and Alannah Hill. After not walking in the runway challenges, two of the designers threw Kathryn a bone and asked her to strut her stuff. Hooray! Meanwhile, favourite Kelsey and loner Kimberly didn’t get picked for anything. Bump bow.

Pussycat Dolls: Kooky designer Alannah Hill has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons lately and this was a particularly cringe-worthy segment. She wanted the girls to act like pussycats crossed with cupcakes. Which was kind of appropriate since Alannah herself is like an old cat in heat.

Going Bananas: Every time I see Josh now, all I can think about is how he played B2 in the Bananas in Pyjamas live concert show. He looks like a lost member from an ‘80s boy band.

Street Chic: The photo shoot was a national advertising campaign for Impulse body spray. Joanna and Kelsey nailed it and BOTH were selected for the campaign. Kimberly was meant to channel “true love” but immediately complained and then brought her bad attitude to the shoot. She ended up having to pose in a laneway that reeked from “bin juice and urine.” Heh heh heh.

Departure Lounge: Balsa Wood Britney and Kimberly were the last two standing. Kimberly was FINALLY sent packing, but of course she didn't bow out gracefully. Sarah and Jez both gushed about how much potential she has, but Kimberly said she was done with modelling and was going back to school to “get an education and do something with her life.”  Even though I know her defensive behaviour is just masking a lot of pain, she still annoys me. She needs some tough love from Dr Phil, but in the meantime, don't let the door hit ya in the bum, darl!
