Hamish and Andy's Gap Year Scores Mixed Reviews

Hamish Blake and Andy Lee have once again proven that they’re TV ratings gold, with more than 1.4 million Aussies tuning in for the premiere of Hamish and Andy’s Gap Year on Channel Nine last night. It won its timeslot, beating The Renovators on Network Ten (roughly 909,000 viewers), and is the first of ten variety show-style episodes from the comedy duo. It featured a mix of their pre-taped adventures in the US (such as their catfishing adventures) and interviews with stars like Taylor Swift and Neil Patrick Harris — Taylor and the boys sang an impromptu song called “Chaperone Dads” — all peppered with their brand of humour that included them wearing “Traxedos” and having bobblehead versions of themselves on their desk. Comments on Twitter were mixed so we want to know which side of the fence you sit on — did you love it or were you expecting more?
