Harry Potter Stars Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint and Tom Felton Speak in American Accents
Video: Harry Potter Stars Do Their Best American Accents!
What do you get when you mix the four most popular young British actors with an MTV movies guy devoted to “teaching strange foreigners how to speak the right way, the American way”? The answer is a charming 1:41 minute video in which Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows stars Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint and Tom Felton put aside their native tongues and try their hand at saying a series of random phrases in an American accent. MTV’s Josh Horowitz gets them to say things like, “Boo-yah”, “Hey buddy, can I get an order of mozzarella sticks please?” and even—gasp!—“Twilight blows.” (Daniel even apologises to Robert Pattinson.) I’ve gotta say, I was particularly impressed with Tom, who sounds like he could be in a Western. Check out their American accents in the clip!
