Hugh Jackman Lights the Empire State Building Green And Gold for Australia Day
Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness left a distinct Australian mark on the city of New York today, when they flipped the switch to light a model Empire State Building in green and gold. Hugh and Deborra were introduced to the watching crowd by Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop, who joked that the pair were only on loan to America. It was a big honour for the Australian actor, and he was feeling the love when he led the crowd through the classic "Aussie, Aussie, Aussie" chant before moving the party to the iconic building's 86th floor observation deck. Afterwards, Hugh shared on Instagram that it was an "awesome moment for the Jackman family", alongside a sweet video of he and Deborra in action. The actual Empire State Building will boast the Australian colours tomorrow, when it clocks over to Australia Day in US time. Click through to see pictures of Hugh and Deborra at the event!
