In June, Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux went on a romantic island holiday to the Bahamas. The photos taken of Jennifer in her bikini then popped up on the covers of countless tabloids that all falsely claimed the Office Christmas Party actress was pregnant. After years of enduring similar headlines about whether or not she was expecting, she penned a beautiful op-ed for the Huffington Post decrying the pregnancy rumours and body-shaming that tabloids and magazines perpetuate.
While sitting down with Ellen DeGeneres on Wednesday, Jennifer opened up about her motivations for finally speaking out about the topic. "I kind of hit a wall; I was pretty raw at the time," she said, adding that her mother had just passed away when it all happened. "I think these tabloids, all of us, need to take responsibility on what we ingest into our brains. Just because we are women, we have a uterus, we have a vagina, we have ovaries . . . we as women do a lot of incredible things in this world other than just procreate." It only gets more inspiring from there, so check it out above.
