It would be hard to pick the best body in Hollywood, but I’m thinking Jennifer Aniston’s comes pretty close. Her lean, yet muscular physique seems unreal. How does she get so toned, you ask? Yoga. The 40-year-old has been a long-time supporter of yoga ever since her friend and teacher, Mandy Ingber, introduced her to the exercise.
Jen is the first to admit she didn’t fall in love with the workout immediately, “I went to a class once and didn’t quite get it. Then Mandy was like, ‘Just try it with me.’ It was a totally different experience.” The former Friends star has praised yoga for it’s emotional benefits as well. Back in 2005, during her divorce with Brad, she told SELF Magazine, “I was crying through moves. It’s good to get that stuff out. You feel like you’re having a therapy session, a workout and a meditation at the same time.” Fast-forward to present day and Jen is still a strong yoga enthusiast. In early December, she showed her support by appearing in the introduction of Yogalosophy, a new yoga DVD by Mandy.
I also found out her secret to looking so great in those bikini pics that are regularly snapped in Mexico. According to a source she, “diets and works out extra hard before she leaves, so she actually goes on vacation a few pounds under her average weight. Then she can eat what she wants on vacation and still return home in good shape.” And when she needs a flat belly fast she “cuts out pasta, bread and red meat.” So there you have it—time to get your downward dog on so you can indulge in margaritas on your next holiday.
