John Mayer’s Flight Forced to Land in Melbourne

John Mayer was less than impressed with the new Qantas A380 Airbus after his flight from Sydney to Los Angeles was forced to turn around because of a faulty fuel pump. The jet, carrying 329 passengers, tried to return to Sydney but had to land in Melbourne because of bad weather. John tweeted to his over two million followers: “Sydney to Los Angeles. I mean, turn around, back to Sydney. I mean, over to Melbourne...Thanks Airbus A380!” He then uploaded a photo of the diverted flight path, as shown on the in-flight television. Passengers were given accommodation overnight, which seemed to make things worse. John tweeted, “This hotel smells like the carbon paper in a coroner’s report. (I’m tired, go with it.) No more complaining...I remember how to do this. Guerrilla tour mode. ENGAGE.” John even managed to weigh in on Britney’s lip-synching controversy, adding, “If you’re shocked that Britney was lip-synching at her concert and want your money back, life may continue to be hard for you.”
