Brynne Edelsten returned to the dance floor on Dancing With the Stars last night following a week of media controversy following the judges’ comments about her debut. She and partner Arsen Kishishian danced a foxtrot routine, and when the time came to hear her feedback Josh Horner took the opportunity to commend her on how she handled the situation. So after his comments last week that she looked like a “bedazzled sack of potatoes,” last night Josh said, “It was about your dancing, those comments, not a personal attack. However, the way you handled yourself, Brynne, this week, it makes me adore you even more. Brynne, you handled yourself with grace, with dignity . . . The way that you said it’s going to drive me to improve and be better. It just labels you literally the bravest woman on television. Australia adores you.”
As for her actual dancing, the judges said she looked more at home with the foxtrot than when she danced the cha-cha-cha in week one (and Josh took a swipe at Arsen, saying he thought Arsen made Brynne feel “vulnerable” on the dance floor), but she still ended at the bottom of the leader board with a total score of 14 out of 30. Not that Brynne was the one who was sent home packing — cricketer Nathan Bracken was the first to be eliminated while his wife, Haley, remains in the competition. As for who we think could take out the title? Damien Leith, who wowed the judges with his foxtrot to Bruno Mars’ “Grenade” and scored a massive 27 points! What did you think of last night’s show?
