Jude Law to judge Australians in Film Heath Ledger scholarship

Jude Law to Judge Heath Ledger Scholarship

Jude Law will help select an emerging Aussie talent to be awarded a $10,000 scholarship in Heath Ledger’s name. The Australians in Film Heath Ledger Scholarship is awarded to an upcoming actor who wants to try and break into a career in Hollywood. When Heath died of an accidental overdose, Jude stepped in to help complete his final film, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, along with Johnny Depp and Colin Farrell. At a special AiF screening of the film last night in Hollywood the judges for the 2010 competition were announced. Jude said, “I am delighted and honoured to do what I can to keep Heath's legacy alive. He was a brilliant actor and a wonderful man and it is only fitting that this scholarship has been developed in his name.” Last year Oliver Ackland won the honour. The finalists will be announced at a special event in February.
