Kanye West Premieres His Movie Runaway in Sydney

Kanye West Brings His Runaway Movie to Sydney

Not content with just being a high profile figure in the music world (and upstaging young country crooners), Kanye West has taken his music talent to the next level by creating a 40-minute movie called Runaway, which ties in with his upcoming album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. His directorial debut is basically a long music video with fantasy elements that also stars model Selita Ebanks. Kanye premiered the movie in Sydney last night at the Entertainment Quarter, and after the screening he participated in a Q&A session with audience members, where he revealed that he got rid of his phone after the whole Taylor Swift VMAs debacle. He said, “For a year and two days now I haven’t had a cell phone to get away from the commercial and pop worlds.” But he still has high hopes for his creative future, expressing his desire to turn Runaway into cartoon, live show and Broadway musical. Ambitious much? If you’re in Sydney keep an eye out for Kanye before he jets out!
