So this brings us to Sunday night’s grand final. The three cooking challenges have already been recorded, but in order to avoid any potential spoilers, the winner of MasterChef 2011 will be announced with a live verdict that commences at 8:30 p.m. (An episode of The Renovators is sandwiched between the two grand final segments.) It’s probably a smart move considering the spoiler-filled series we’ve had! The show has remained tight-lipped about what Michael and Kate will be cooking, but last night’s teaser mentioned something about cooking for the number one chef in the world. With Matt Preston saying, “We’ve never had such an evenly-matched finale,” we’re expecting a very close result!
