Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise are doing good in the world! The mother-daughter duo recently paid a special visit to the Moria refugee camp in Greece, and over the weekend, the 40-year-old actress shared photos from their philanthropic trip on Instagram. In the rare snaps, Katie and her nearly-13-year-old daughter (Suri's birthday is on April 18) are featured painting and playing with other children. "I am so very grateful for this experience," Katie wrote on Instagram. "The resilience of these women is so profound and truly inspiring to witness. and I pray for refugees everywhere."
Katie is a global ambassador for Artolution, a public organization that "seeks to ignite positive social change through collaborative art making." Artolution has been helping with the global refugee crisis by teaming up with artists, educators, and other organizations to "provide a platform for young people to creatively explore their experiences while connecting with positive adult role models in their community." The Moria refugee camp is home to thousands of asylum seekers who fled wars in Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan.
