Katy Perry Called Hobart "Hogwarts" as the Weather Girl For Sunrise
She sings about things being “Hot N Cold,” and this morning Katy Perry pointed out which parts of Australia are hot and cold when she presented a weather segment on Sunrise. The pop star is in town for a whirlwind two-day trip to promote her Prismatic world tour, which will go around Australia in November. Katy, who arrived in Sydney on Tuesday morning, has talked about how she’d like to emulate the success Pink has in Australia, saying, “I have watched Pink’s career very closely and seen that she sets up house here for a while and if you can have that in your career, you should take advantage of it.” As for how long she’s planning to spend here at the end of the year, Katy said, “This time I have all of November here and a lot of December, pretty much until I go home for Christmas.”
In her short time here, Katy, who hasn’t addressed reports that she and John Mayer have split, attended a press event for the Prismatic world tour at a Telstra store in Sydney on Tuesday (Telstra is sponsoring the tour), and went to lunch at Sydney’s Catalina today. During her Sunrise weather stint she pronounced Cairns as “Karns” and called Hobart “Hogwarts.”
Katy’s tour will kick off in Perth on Nov. 7 before making its way around the country.
