Lady Gaga Tells Ryan Seacrest She Spent 72 Hours Incubating In Her Grammy Awards Egg Womb
Do You Believe Lady Gaga Spent 72 Hours Inside Her Egg?
We all thought Lady Gaga’s Grammy Awards egg — sorry, I mean womb — was crazy and weird enough in itself. Then she was “born” out of the egg/womb for her performance of new single “Born This Way” and we thought, ‘OK, cool, we get it now (sort of).’ But she’s not leaving it at that. In a radio interview with Ryan Seacrest on Tuesday, the always-mysterious star told the KIIS-FM host over the phone that she had been incubating in the egg for about three days. She said:
I was in there for about 72 hours. It was a very creative experience. It was time for me to really prepare and think about the meaning of the song and get prepared for the performance. I really wanted to be born on stage. The creative vessel was helpful for me to stay focused. We had it backstage so that I was able to really stay in this sort of creative, embryonic incubation. This is what I do, Ryan. I’m so passionate about this record and the meaning of the album.
It sounds a little too bizarre, right? We know Lady Gaga pushes the limit but do we really think she spent 72 hours in that egg? If we say no, does that mean we’re questioning her creative process or integrity? Then again, weirder things have been said. Let’s throw it over to you — do you believe Lady Gaga?
