We can expect that heaps of people will tune into the documentary Lily Allen: From Riches to Rags when it airs in the UK on March 15, but one person who won’t be tuning in is the star herself. In fact, Lily has even taken to Twitter to urge fans not to watch the program. Over a series of tweets, Lily says:
Just a couple of things, some of you may have read about a T.V show called "Riches to Rags"( title not my idea) airing on tuesday next week. We started filming it a year ago and I feel like a completely different person that the one that features in the programme. I'm inclined to Ask you not to watch it cause quite frankly I am embarrassed. On the other hand I want you all to watch it so you can see how the press Coverage of it has been totally sensationalised and quotes taken out of context. I should probably know better than to write this here But I feel its the only place that my words don't get minced. That is all.
She went on to tell a fan, “I shant be watching.” The premise of the show was originally meant to follow Lily and her sister Sarah Owen as they launched their own clothes shop and fashion line, Lucy in Disguise, but the press leading up to its airdate has focused on her miscarriage and the revelation that she suffered from bulimia.
