The Lion King Cast Singing "Hakuna Matata" Video 2019

Donald Glover, Seth Rogen, and Billy Eichner Sing "Hakuna Matata" in New Lion King Featurette

Are you ready for another taste of Disney's reboot of The Lion King? Because the studio just released a behind-the-scenes clip that includes footage of Donald Glover, Billy Eichner, and Seth Rogen — aka the new Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa — belting out "Hakuna Matata," and it's pretty freakin' great.

In the featurette released on July 2, director Jon Favreau describes why he decided to follow up his work on 2016's The Jungle Book with a "live-action" take on the 1994 classic about a young lion's struggle to find his way back home. In addition to taking advantage of "a new set of tools and a new kind of technology" to tell the story, Favreau knew how important casting musically talented actors would be given all the amazing songs featured in the film. Luckily, he nabbed both Glover and Beyoncé, the latter of whom plays the adult version of Nala, as well as . . . Rogen and Eichner?

While the voices of Timon and Pumbaa aren't exactly known for ruling the Billboard charts, the new clip proves that they're the perfect fit for the sassy and sarcastic meerkat and warthog duo. Once you hear them belt out the tune above, make sure you listen to Beyoncé and Glover sing "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" before the film premieres on July 19.
