Network Ten's The Masked Singer is one of the most anticipated Aussie TV shows for the second half of 2019. The global sensation is set to take Australia by storm, and it's safe to say we've never seen a singing competition like it.
The premise is simple: 12 celebrities will compete in a week-to-week singing competition, until there is one winner remaining. The only catch? That we won't have any idea who the said celebrities are until they are eliminated. That's right, the mystery celebs are set to don some extremely elaborate costumes, with a lion, unicorn and octopus having already been announced.
While we don't yet know who's behind the masks, we have been given a few clues. Firstly, we know that while not all the celebrities are already famous for singing, they all certainly can sing. Of the 12 contestants, there is an ARIA Award winner, MTV Award winner, Logie Award winner, World Cup winner and even an Order Of Australia winner among the mix.
It'll be the seemingly impossible job of expert panel in Lindsay Lohan, Dannii Minogue, Jackie O and Dave Hughes to attempt to uncover the true identity of the singers. Until they do, the celebs will be referred to only as the character they are dressed up as. Talk. About. Intriguing.
Without further ado, here are all the (currently anonymous) contestants set to appear on season one of The Masked Singer Australia so far.
