POPSUGAR Australia: Did you watch last night’s episode, and if so, what did you think of it?
Sara Oteri: It was interesting to relive it, let’s just that say that. I definitely welled up when I forgot the egg whites again. I didn’t think I’d get upset, but it’s amazing how quickly watching it will bring you straight back to how you felt at that time. But I thought overall it was a good episode. It was good to actually see the other two find it as difficult as I did as well.
PS: Yeah, you all had issues with the brioche, and then it was heartbreaking that you and Reynold also forgot to take it out of the oven.
Sara: I know! [Laughs]
PS: What has it been like watching yourself on TV in general? How much have you managed to watch of the series?
Sara: I’ve managed to watch a fair bit. If I don’t watch an episode it’s purely because I’m busy that evening, and I’ll try to watch it back on Tenplay. But it’s been interesting. At first you’re like, ‘Oh my god, this is so weird, I’m on TV,’ but then you get used to it really quickly, which I think is even weirder!
PS: Do you think you came across with a true portrayal of who you are?
Sara: Yeah, I think so. At the end of the day, people, I guess they don’t really understand that we have such long days, and maybe only 20 percent of what gets shot actually makes it to air. We all have our truth of what happened that day, and it’s all different versions, but overall I think everyone was portrayed fairly, including myself.
