Oprah’s Trip to Australia Might Be Ground By Qantas Malfunction

Plans for Oprah Winfrey and her audience to fly Down Under are being reassessed after Qantas grounded its entire fleet of A380 Airbuses after a plane made an emergency landing yesterday in Singapore. Oprah intended on using A 380 Airbuses and announced the trip on her show in September with honorary Qantas pilot John Travolta. In a statement to Radar Online, a spokesperson for the show said:

We are grateful that everyone aboard Qantas flight QF32 is safe and there were no injuries to passengers or crew. The safety of our trip attendees is our first priority. We have been in touch with Qantas and are discussing all our travel options for our December trip. We will continue to monitor the situation closely.

Meanwhile, the window for tickets to Oprah’s two shows at the Sydney Opera House opened today at 10:00 a.m. Fans have to register at Oprah.com and then enter to win tickets via an online lottery.
