Pen15 Review

High school drama is the best kind of television, but, if we're being completely honest, what we've received from the silver screen so far hasn't been super relatable.

Think about it.

Whether it was the alarmingly mature vocabulary of the Capeside teenagers in Dawson's Creek (and Pacey's student-teacher relationship which just wouldn't happen to your average teenager), or the road trip that Marissa, Ryan, Seth and Summer's parents somehow allowed them to take to Tijuana in The O.C — the storylines never quite matched up to what we were actually experiencing as awkward teenagers.

But now we've been blessed with short-form sitcom Pen15 on Stan, which follows best friends and comics Maya Erskine and Anna Konkle (of Man Seeking Woman fame) taking on seventh grade in none other than the year 2000.
