Photos of Rihanna in London As She Defends Her Naked Photos

Rihanna Defends Her Leaked Naked Photos — Refreshingly Honest or TMI?

It's been an emotional few weeks for Rihanna. The singer has been on a heavy promotional tour surrounding the release of R Rated, which has included opening up about her relationship with Chris Brown. And during a recent radio interview, Rih confronted another difficult moment from this year, when some naked photos she took of herself were leaked.

Rihanna called the experience "humiliating and embarrassing" especially since it was right before Mother's Day. But she also defended her actions saying, "If you don't send your boyfriend naked pictures, then I feel bad for him."

Some fans may disagree with Rih's opinion on this personal matter, but what do you think of her statements about the nude photos — refreshingly honest or TMI?

The problem here isn't Rihanna. What people need to understand is what is good for you, isn't always good for someone else. I would never send photos to anyone but I understand that Rihanna may not share my mindset. The problem belongs with the people that are stealing and leaking these images and getting away with it. Private is private in my opinion. There is no law that prohibits this kind of behaviour. I agree that celebrities should know about the consequences but when they are in the moment and young, do you honestly think that they would be thinking abou that? I don't think that Rihanna has failed in being a good role model with this action because it wasn't intended for us. The same thing with other celebrities with the same problem. It is another story when they release these images themselves or pose for Playboy.

I agree with what you're saying, Louie. I think the thing that is missing when these pictures are taken is responsibility. I personally do not condemn people for TAKING these photos but it's a harsh world we live in and if you're going to take those photos and send them you MUST be smart, responsible, and AWARE of the consequences. The photos are harmless in private but damaging in the public if they weren't meant to been seen by the public (like the art I mentioned before).

Also, I'd just like to reiterate that I don't have any problem with those who DO take photos of themselves for their boyfriends/husbands. Do what you want, as long as it's consenual. But I think anyone with a little bit of fame needs to exercise a bit more caution.

If a celebrity wants to take nude photos of themselves, film themselves having sex, or whatever they want to do behind closed doors, then they are beyond stupid for not having learned from so many other's mistakes. Honestly. You would think they would know better by now. I really don't like her comment that she feels "sorry" for any guy whose girlfriend won't send naked photos of herself to him. Nice way to put some pressure on any girl who felt slightly insecure or who was being pressured by her boyfriend to do so. Idiot.

Rhianna is acting like sending naked pics to your boyfriend is harmless. The problem with sending naked pics of yourself to your boyfriend (or even your husband) is that in the event of break up your pictures can be misused. It's a very bad message to send to young girls that it's OK to send naked pics. Naked pictures has messed up so many young girls and grown women's lives. Not sending naked pics of yourself is the smart thing to do.

I'm not stupid enough to send my husband naked photos. Those of you who do, expect them to be leaked/shown to others/misused (not that my husband would do it, but those that end up breaking up will not show you the same respect). I use the same theory with emails/blogging/etc. - never write something you don't want others to read or something that can be held against you. What if your employer saw a nude photo of you on Facebook or somewhere online? You can't trust anyone. Please ladies, show some respect for yourself. It's almost impossible regain a lost reputation.

its not her admitting that she enjoys entertaining her man that i have a problem with. To each his own....Pose, heffa pose lol.... It's the fact that she's throwing out a peep show every 14 seconds just so someone will snap a picture of her washed up behind...

^ What, Ms. judge and jury #28? That makes no sense. How does sending private photos to someone you love make you a slut? Was every woman who ever posed nude in art (paintings, statues, photographs) a slut? I mean the whole world gets to see them, not just their boyfriends and husbands. Sending nude pictures to someone you're intimate is not reason to denounce someone as a slut. Making generalizations and ignorant comments like you did makes you obtuse.

I think Monkeyface is confused. Unless you're a slut, there is no reason you should send your boyfriend nude pictures.

Taking private photos DOES NOT make Rhianna a bad role model. She is an adult who took those photos in trust that they would not be shared. The difference between Rhianna and any other woman is that she is a celebrity, I would be willing to bet that nearly EVERY woman has, at some point, taken nude photos or videos to share with a lover. She is a realist and her statement regarding the photos reflects just that!

I don't know if she meant her answer to come out the way it did. It was a stupid thing to say, but I think she said it more to defend and protect her feelings and ego than to sound on off people who don't send nude pictures to their boyfriends...

I totally send my husband naked pictures of myself! But I'm not a celebrity and they won't get leaked! But I've also been married for 13 years, it's fun to do something that will keep the spark alive! I know my husband enjoys getting nudie pictures and I enjoy sending them! The problem is when young kids do it, but that is a parenting issue!

She may think it's harmless fun, and as a pop star it's not really going to affect her life other than being embarrassed and handing her more press, but to make that kind of a comment encourages teenagers to think it's okay to do. Those pictures might get leaked and affect their lives in a very negative way other than showing them around school. Colleges nowadays do internet searches of potential students, including their facebook and myspace pages, and these kinds of photos could keep them from being accepted. In addition employers are now also checking peoples online presence. At my former place of work two employees were fired because of things they either posted or blogged about, and a large number of people were rejected for their online antics. Once these photos hit the web they are there for everyone to see... forever. I'm not so sure how proud these girls are going to be of their indiscretions when their kids or their kids friends are able to see them.

That may be her personal opinion but she should keep that to herself. You do not have to send your boyfriend naked pictures of yourself, its ridiculous. Wish she would go away now. Pard0nmyswag.....i agree with you.

i think most boyfriends are happy about seeing their girlfriends naked in real life and don't need any pictures. They're not even missing out on anything, theres no need for this kind of showing-off in every relationship.
