Today Sydney played host to two of the world’s biggest stars: Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon. The actors, in town to promote Water For Elephants, started the day with a press conference at Luna Park, before being given a few hours to spend freely around the city (Reese apparently shopped big in Paddington, making stops at camilla and marc and Zimmermann). As for the premiere, around 300m of red carpet had been rolled down Pitt St leading up to the State Theatre, and some fans started taking their places in the morning and early afternoon. Robert and Reese arrived around 6:30 p.m. and alternated between media interviews and posing for photos with fans. After making their way to the State Theatre, Rob and Reese were met by screams before heading inside. Tonight’s event marked the end of their whirlwind promotional tour for the movie, which saw them start in New York a few weeks ago and make multiple stops in Europe.
