You couldn't have three more different acts remaining on The X Factor. Tonight, Australia will learn whether Dean Ray, Brothers 3 or Marlisa Punzalan is announced as the winner of the talent show, and who will score a coveted recording contract with Sony Music Australia.
Following Reigan Derry's shock elimination last week, anything could happen. Brothers 3, under the guidance of Dannii Minogue, is the only act that hasn't been in the bottom two, and you know there's a lot of support for them since they won their way back into the live shows through the public-voted wildcard. Ronan Keating's charge Marlisa has been a consistent performer for someone so young (she's 15), and her vocal ability is out of this world, while Dean, Natalie Bassingthwaighte's only remaining contestant, has stayed true to himself and his vision as a rock artist in every performance; the judges have loved him every week.
On Sunday night, the three acts took to the stage for the final time in a bid for last-minute votes. They performed three times each — they debuted their potential winner's singles (Dean's is called "Coming Back," Brothers 3's is "The Lucky Ones," and Marlisa's is called "Stand by You"), performed their very first audition songs again, and also sang duets with Olly Murs (Dean), Guy Sebastian (Brothers 3) and Jessica Mauboy (Marlisa).
There are many reasons as to why a certain act should win, but at the end of the day the public vote means this comes down to popularity. So who's going to win?
