Pop Preview: McGregor and Brosnan in The Ghost Writer

No matter how you feel about Roman Polanski, it's not really debatable whether he's a talented director. In his latest film, The Ghost Writer, sexy Ewan McGregor plays an author who's recruited into a lucrative deal to be the ghost writer for former Prime Minister Adam Lang, played by Pierce Brosnan. When it turns out that Lang's political record is anything but squeaky clean, McGregor finds a moral dilemma in transcribing the life of the powerful man.

Making matters worse is that McGregor also finds himself fearing for his life after he finds out the previous ghost writer died (suicide? murder?) while on the job. Ewan was at The Sydney Film Festival in June for the press premiere and said he was excited by the movie's political storyline. The trailer's extremely engaging, and the movie itself looks stylish and fast-paced (be sure to listen up for Kim Cattrall, who was actually born in England, sporting a British accent).
