Prince Charles Makes a World First MasterChef Appearance
This year's MasterChef has surpassed records like awarding an unprecedented number of immunity pins, as well seeing Sashi be the first ever contestant in history to nab two of those shiny gems. And on Wednesday night, a world-first was reached, with HRH The Prince of Wales making his cooking show debut.
Prince Charles was present for the team challenge in Darwin, where the remaining nine contestants were tasked with catering for a 150-guest reception. Using only native flavours, local produce and indigenous ingredients, each team was required to make a minimum of four canapés — savoury, vegetarian, gluten-free and halal — in three and a half hours.
While elimination is now on the line for Samira, Brendan, Sashi, Ben, Kristen and Jess, the bright side is all of them now have bragging rights that they've cooked for one of the biggest royal names in the world. Not too shabby at all, huh? Below, highlights from the Royal's MasterChef appearance.
